CONGREGATIONAL CARE

We as church members and congregates of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church  should always step forward in faith.  Note that God ALWAYS puts us to the test.  Please consider the urgency in caring for not only the homebound but each other.  Let each and every one of us pull forth his or her ministry to help better our church, our community, and each other.

My dear, dear friends!  I love you so much.  I do want the very best for you.  You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride.  Don't waver.  Stay on track, steady in God.

(Phillipians 4:1 - The Message Bible)

"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land."

Deuteronomy 15:11 (New International Version)

EDGEWOOD MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION PROGRAMS

To qualify for help from the EMA, one must live in Trenton or the Edgewood School District, or be a member or a regular attendant of one of the 18 churches that make up the EMA.

THE EMA FOOD PANTRY

If you need help with groceries you can call 513-988-0422 Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM and submit a request.  Frequently, if you call early enough, you can pick up your groceries the same day.

You will need a photo ID (such as a Driver's License) and a proof of residency (such as a current bill).

Each household may use the food pantry up to three times per calendar year unless there are extenuating circumstances.  Should you need a fourth visit or more, you may go to 407 Sycamore Apt #5 (Edgewood Outreach) on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.

LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH IS PANTRY SUNDAY AT MT. OLIVET

Please pick up an item or two when you go to the grocery to help our neighbors in need!  Any items would certainly be appreciated!

The Pantry thanks the Mt. Olivet congregation for their caring and generous hearts!

Call 988-0422 for more information.

If you would like to donate money, please mark your check "for Food Pantry", or write a check to EMA Food Pantry, and put in the offering. You can also drop the check off at Mt. Olivet, or at Edgewood Baptist Church.

We see Jesus in the poor.  Hopefully they see the love of Christ reflecting through us when they come to get help.  You can help us bring hope to them by supporting the various ministries in the EMA.  Thank you!

YOUR KROGER LOYALTY CARD CAN HELP MT. OLIVET EARN MONEY

Did you know that Mt. Olivet receives money every quarter because there are folks in our church who have signed up their Kroger Plus Card for the Community Rewards to go toward our church?  Here's more good news:  those whose Kroger Card is already signed up no longer have to register their card every year to verify that you still have Mt. Olivet on your card!  Everyone is encouraged to signup for this great program on behalf of MOPC.  Need help?  Debora Kirby will help!  Call the office for her contact information.

Also:  When you log in you can add additional coupons to your cards that will automatically give you credit when checking out.  You do not have to have a coupon on hand!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There is a binder located in the church library labeled VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES.

Would you like to knit or crochet afghans for the Hospice program?  Help children through the Butler County Parachute program?  How about foster grandparents?  Meals on Wheels?  There are many more opportunities.  Do YOU know a program that you would like to add to the binder?  Think about sharing your talents with those who are in need.

UPDATES FROM THE EMA FOOD PANTRY
