Go-1 Training Meeting

Saturday, July 21st

9 AM to 3 PM

All of us want to see growth at Mt. Olivet, growth both in numbers of members and in the Passion for the Spirit.  This training session will be lead by EPC Midwest Presbytery GO Center Training/Coach and Church Development Coordinator, Bill Rasch.  This training will help to provide the tools, materials, and resources to reach our community, in the hopes of that precious growth that we seek.  Go-1 workbook materials will be provided by Mr. Rasch and paid for by the church.  All members and congregates should consider attending this special event.

If you have interest in joining our Prayer Group, it meets in the Library on Wednesday nights at 8 PM.

If you have interest in both Choir and Prayer, why not join us for both!

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY

The study of the series, Living By the Book, by Howard Hendricks has started.

Join us for Sunday School at 9 AM!

PRAYER REQUESTS FOR THE PRAYER MEETING

There is a table set up in the Narthex with pen, paper, and a Prayer Box.  Write down your prayer requests and drop them in the Prayer Box.  Every Wednesday evening at 8 PM we gather in a prayer meeting in the church library.  The Prayer Box will be opened, then heads will bow, and prayers lifted for your needs and concerns.

ALL are welcome to attend our special time of prayer every Wednesday evening.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE SOUND BOOTH AND THE POWER POINT PRESENTATION

We need help with running the Sound Booth and the Power Point presentation on Sunday mornings.  We are looking for several volunteers who can rotate responsibility (similarly to our Liturgists).

Please don't feel intimidated.  FREE TRAINING will be provided for these assignments that are not as difficult as you might think.

There is a clipboard in the entryway (where we sign any "get well" cards) if you have interest.  You may also contact the church if you have interest.  You will be signing up for the same Sunday (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th) every month.

Thanks for your volunteerism!
TEACHERS AND HELPERS WILL BE NEEDED

Opportunities and needs will come soon for the following Mt. Olivet project:

The J.A.M. Club will be for those children in first through fourth grades.  This will be a group that meets during Worship Service, like the "Branch Out" Group, which caters to those children in fifth grade and older.

Please prayerfully consider assisting in this ministry activity.
THANK YOU, CHURCH FAMILY

Mt. Olivet has shown again how loving, caring, and generous it is for children.

We donated a total 38 pillowcases and 57 pillows for the Sweet Dreams Foundation.

The total donation from Valley Quilts and Sewers, and Amy Patrick, and Pat Bishop was 90 hand-sewn pillow cases.

Mt. Olivet provided the largest single donation ever to Sweet Dreams!

Look forward to another pillow and pillowcase drive in August or September.
