OUR NEW PASTOR

Our new permanent pastor is Jason Bantz.

Pastor Jason previously ministered at College Corner Presbyterian Church for 21 years (1997 - 2018).  He was that church's pastor when they left PC(USA) and joined the EPC in 2009.

Pastor Jason's wife, Susan, works at the Miami University Student Health Center.  Jason and Susan have four children (Emily, Carrie, Nathan, and Luke).  Three are students at Miami University, and one is presently a high school senior (who will also be going to Miami U.).

We are thrilled for Pastor Jason, Susan, and the Bantz family to be joining the life and livelihood of Mt. Olivet.  May the Lord give strength and guidance to the Bantzes in this next step in their Christian lives.
OPPORTUNITIES ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

The Prayer Warriors and the Praise Team would love to see more participants.

The Prayer Group meets at 6 PM on Wednesday evenings.

The Praise Team practices at 6:30 PM.

If you have interest in both the Prayer Meeting and the Praise team, why not join us for both!
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR THE PRAYER MEETING

There is a table set up in the Narthex with pen, prayer request slips.  Write down your prayer requests and drop them in the offering plate.  Every Wednesday evening at 6 PM we gather in a prayer meeting in the church library.  Heads will bow, and prayers lifted for your needs and concerns.

ALL are welcome to attend our special time of prayer every Wednesday evening.
PER CAPITA PAYMENT FOR 2020

The Per Capita payment for 2020 is $36 for each church member.  This is a payment that is expected from each member by the EPC and the Midwest Presbytery, although the payment is not mandatory.  $23 of the payment goes to the national EPC, and the other $13 goes to the Presbytery.  Please consider making this payment to support our denomination.  This payment can be dropped during the worship office.  Please label your check and/or envelope "Per Capita" for clarification.

NOTE:  We have sent checks to the Midwest Presbytery and to the EPC in regards to the Per Capital payments already submitted.  23 members have paid their Per Capita.  We thank you for support of our church and our denomination.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL NOTES

Whenever Sunday School returns to the schedule,  the Adult Sunday School will continue with the study series  "Life Lessons from Matthew" by Max Lucado.
CHANGES TO THE WORSHIP SERVICE AND BULLETIN ARE HAPPENING

You are seeing changes in both the Sunday Worship Service and the Bulletin.    No drastic changes are expected, but we are adding some contemporary songs and changing the order of our Service.  Please be aware as we try to update our Service and Program.  Please be patient.   The Service and the bulletin may change a few times as we see what fits best for your congregation.  Thank you for your understanding.
